Our caregivers maintain a consistent schedule to reduce confusion and communicate patiently and clearly. We understand the importance of redirecting conversations to avoid frustration. We encourage healthy choices, both in meals and activities, and prioritize safety at home. Recognizing the challenges of sundowning, we ensure a peaceful bedtime routine to promote a calm and secure environment for our clients.
End of life care:
- In our End-of-Life Care at Nurturing Hearts, our dedicated caregivers prioritize the well-being, comfort, and quality of life for clients approaching the end of their journey. We understand the profound impact on both clients and their families, offering kindness and support throughout the grieving process. Our compassionate caregivers assist with activities of daily living, ensuring that individuals experience care, dignity, and peace during this sensitive and significant time.
Post Hospital Care:
- At Nurturing Hearts, our Post-Hospital Care is designed to aid in a seamless recovery process. Our caregivers are committed to assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), supporting clients in their physical therapy exercises as directed by physicians. Ensuring a safe home environment is a priority during the healing period. Beyond physical well-being, our caregivers also provide meaningful connection and engage in mental activities, fostering a holistic approach to recovery and well-being for our clients.
In Facility Care:
- At Nurturing Hearts, our In-Facility Care is characterized by the dedication to providing additional hands-on support for clients within a facility. Our caregivers extend their expertise to ensure clients receive personalized care and attention, contributing to a comfortable and supportive environment during their time in any of the following: rehabilitation centers, all senior living centers, and healthcare facilities.
Wheelchair Assistance:
- At Nurturing Hearts, our Wheelchair Assistance service is dedicated to ensuring our clients' mobility with utmost care and safety. Our caregivers expertly assist with transfers, including in and out of bed, onto and off the toilet, and in and out of vehicles. Additionally, we provide cleaning and basic maintenance for wheelchairs, always prioritizing proper body mechanics for the safety of both the client and caregiver. Our support extends beyond, as we can help schedule wheelchair maintenance appointments and arrange transportation services to enhance our clients' overall well-being and independence.
Oxygen Assistance:
- At Nurturing Hearts, our Oxygen Assistance service prioritizes the safety and well-being of our clients. Our caregivers are trained to ensure the oxygen tubing remains free of kinks and knots, promoting smooth and effective usage. We also provide guidance to clients on following proper safety measures to reduce the risk of fire or explosion. In the event of a fire, our trained caregivers adhere to strict protocols, including removing residents from immediate danger, activating alarms, contacting emergency services, and taking necessary steps to contain or evacuate based on the size and speed of the fire, ensuring the utmost safety of our clients.
